CT-TACF Roxbury Pollination Workshop
July 10 @ 8:00 am - 11:00 am
When an isolated American chestnut tree flowers without a nearby source of pollen, the tree produces infertile nuts. We have been helping these trees successfully reproduce by bringing pollen to the tree and manually pollenating the female flowers. Join us this weekend to learn how to perform the pollinations at one of two pollination workshops. Park on Hemlock Rd near the intersection with Baker Rd. (Rt. 67). After pollinating a tree on Baker Rd. we will drive to a second tree on W. Flag Swamp Rd., Roxbury.
